Color help! Blue Onyx Pearl
Can someone please tell me if this is Blue Onyx Pearl in the picture? Brochure's color sample looks totally different, and the computer generated color on Lexus's web site looks fake. Thanks.

The color looks like the bright blue of an Audi S4.

Lexus Test Driver
Lexus had a similar color for the SC400...
called Royal Sapphire. Sort of bright blue and purple mixed. It didn't sell well however. We've had Intensa Blue and other bright blue hues. There is a new blue called Aquamarine that is bright enough to be eliminated from the ES350's production order for the Eastern region. The Blue Onyx is found in the ES, GS, IS and LS models and mimics black at night. The blue comes on in the bright sunlight. It is metallic and has a clear coat which black does not. It does not have quite the drama of black onyx but is easier to keep up.
