Default Is it really difficult the special order the car you want, the way you want it?

I have been looking at some nice little four doors for quite a while, and have narrowed down my choices to a few to choose from. The Lexus IS250 RWD is one of my choices, much to do with its styling, amenities, reputation for quality and reliability, and from what I've been hearing, it gets outstanding gas mileage as well. However, I have also been hearing that options are somewhat limited with the IS250 RWD, and may not be available with some standalone packages and options. My ideal IS250 would be crystal white, with the Luxury Package with the 18" wheels, and the Mark Levinson 14-speaker sound system. From what I have learned, you can't have the Luxury Package, or the ML soundsystem without navigation with the 250 (even though you have those options when building the IS250 on edmunds.com). I plan on special ordering this vehicle and paying cash/no finnancing. Would I be able to special order my ideal IS?

some people have gotten the ML audio without nav and vice versa. Many people have special ordered just have to deal with the long wait time. Not sure how much of a discount you can get you special order

Wait time is 90-120 days. Might as well wait for '07 at this late stage.

I just special ordered an IS350 with the sport package only, which is extremely rare here in Florida. Wait time is 90 -120 days. I live near Clearwater/Tampa, but found the best deal through Wilde Lexus of Sarasota, {internet sales rep David Daly was very easy to deal with}. I was able to get 2500$ off MSRP, which the local dealers near me laughed at and showed me the door. Not sure where you live in FL, but this could be a good option/ bargaining tool for you.

Good luck.

Sig is kind of contradictory. It says Luxury package / ML / Nav / Spoiler / ACC / PA / GSpider, then is says Fully loaded. You need to add HW and PS to earn the term "fully loaded".

Don't forget XM radio, body kit, exhaust system, car cover, tint and chromes, bells and whistles, a date with the dealership receptionist, and somebody stroking your ego as you sign the purchase contract.

"Please sign here, and here, and here, and may I say you look ****-worthy today..."

Hmm. I think my dealer has a car close to this. It's a Crystal White/Cashmere, 250 RWD, with Nav and either the luxury or premium package (can't remember). The sticker was either 36 or 39k.

It's Lexus of Knoxville. If anything, it may be worth investigating. We're in the same region, so your dealer could always do a trade if it turns out to be exactly what you want.

I actually have mine ordered from the Lexus of Nashville. I know there was a thread about having a trouble there, but i just got an email from the salesman today keeping me updated and saying it should be showing up on inventory soon (hitting the water). I havent had anything but top notch service from there, as well as my mother who has 2 lexuses and has been dealing with them for over 4 years.

Just saying . . . may want to check them out as well . . .

Also . . . i dont know about the financing because I as well am paying cash, and everything seems to be doing great right now.

Default Not hard ordering,

Its not hard to order a IS350, its that damn October 05, ---> march 17, 06 wait thats killer!
$500 puts you in the queue. Patience is all required after that , and a hefty checkbook in 4 to 5 months. Good Luck !
Oh yeah, the car was worth every penny !!
No rattles, squiks, shakes, thumps. Perfect, but watch out, it seems the birds like it though !
Havn't seen any south of culpepper, here in Virginia.
