My IS350 has been in the shop for about 6 weeks total during the first 5000 miles for a multitude of things (rattles, squeeks, noises, nav replacement, steering wheel alignment, wheel damage due to dealer problem with car wash, center console cover replacement and now the seatbelt recall).
I have yet to receive anything from my Lexus dealer. I even complained to Lexus about the quality of the car and they gave me some really lame response. I can't explain enough my disappointment with the interior fit and finish of this car.
Unfortunately, my Lexus dealer isn't doing much to help mitigate this issue. I doubt I will be purchasing another Lexus and I can't recommend one to my wife when it's time to replace the Acura.

Brought the car in for 1,000 km service and I got to enjoy leather seats in a plush lounge where a waitress served a variety of beverages, pies sandwiches and fruit.

The IS250 car is worth paying for without any extras, but these surprising touches make owning a Lexus a transcendant experience.

I'm sure Lexus service is as extravagant worldwide?
God, with BMW you'd be lucky to get a "thanks for buying our car" and a card.

Not sure if this applies to other Lexus dealers, but Longo in LA picks up your car on a flat bed while dropping off the loaner anywhere within 60 miles of their location for "free"...of course, they recoup the cost of the delivery guy and his truck by charging you and arm and a leg for the actual service.

At my dealer, Ray Catena Lexus, as long as you bought your car at their dealership, they'll wash it for free any time you want.

I believe they have an automatic car wash on the premises; I'm not sure because I won't let them wash it. (Hate the micro-marring and swirls that you'll inevitably get from an automatic car wash that doesn't use touch-free technology).

As for a gift, they did send a blanket a few weeks after I bought the car. The blanket wasn't much; didn't even have a Lexus logo on it.

Wow, I wish I got all that free stuff when I bought my car. All I got was a keychain and a box of JM Lexus chocolates.

Woodfield Lexus sent me a basket full of chocolates and snacks from a ritzy north shore candy shop. It was pretty cool.

I didn't get anything at all really. But the salesman said since I bought it at their dealership I would get free ol changes there. The dealership (Germain Lexus of Naples) is 90 miles away from me and another one is like 4 so I am not sure if I will ever go there. Also I am not sure if I believe him anyway, I'll have to call the service department. I would take free oil changes over any other fluffy gifts! But as I said, I think he was just lying, except he told me after I bought the car... So I guess he is probably misguided.

I think SG = Singapore...which probably explains the excellent treatment the guy who started this thread got. I doubt if any dealerships here in the US does that.

Well for Nj notoriously being rude, Ray Catena Lexus in NJ treated me and my girlfriend like gold. I was given 4 free Lexus coffee warmer mugs, 4 free Lexus hats (which i wear proudly), 2 EZPass holders, 2 key fob holders, a nice poster of the IS, and then a week later sent me a blanket for the backseat (same one as Bichon, and I was stumped what it was for). I was blown away by the service. Havent been in for the 5K yet (which is free), but they have food and stuff also.

Sales guy spent an hour with me too explaining stuff in the car. It was the most pleasant dealrship expierence of my life.

I feel for all the bad expierences though...
