Excuse my ignorance.....if you already have the HID (I still call them Xenon from my 330), can you "upgrade them to the 6000 or 8000. I thought the "xenon" headlights were sealed units. Can you just replace the bulbs??

This kit is made in Taiwan, not Japan as advertised in EBay. No cutting or rewiring during the installation. Just use the provided connectors. Follow Muzzman's DIY thread. It saved me lots of grief and time. FYI, if you do decide to go with MTECs, make sure you get the HID bulbs with thin tabs. There are two types of H11 bulbs from MTEC. I received ones that have thick tabs (looks cheaper than the other) and had to use pliers to lock them in the housing. I asked for the correct ones from that EBay seller and I was able to turn it by hand. He should know which bulbs are correct for the 2IS by now. Goodluck.

Just got through installing the MTEC 6000K. Oh my god, driver side took me 30-40 minutes. Then finding a spot for the ballasts took me another 30 minutes. So roughly 2 hrs from start to finish. Still I don't think it's bad considering this is my first mod on any car.
I do have a question, I wasn't able to get the bulb flush in the first time (i.e I took it out put it back in spun it around till the tabs matched up and I'm pretty sure the bulb touched the housing. I heard its bad for the bulb to touch anything, how the hell do you install it without it touching anything with almost no room on driver side. And how much life does it take away from the bulb?
Thanks,
Nhi

I just got my Mtec 6000k HID installed today, looks great but there seems to be a streak of light on the ground when I am driving. Is this normal? or was my projectors bumped when being installed?
