Default the miles left approx. option on the gauge

IS VERY ACCURATE!

i ended up with 1mile left when i got home.. << cheap college student

i actually filled up my tank with 1.53 today, could of been 2.56 but i wanted an arizona green tea, and i had about 12 miles left on the miles approx, and i live about 10 miles away.

anyways.. pulled up to the garage, was 2 mile left when i was pulling up, after i parked, it was 1mile approx left.. got a gas station down the block about 0.20 miles away.. hopefully i make it tomorrow

Wow, you sound just like me.. well i'm not a poor college student but if I was i'd do the same thing. I also have a SGM IS250 Stick and would give up the extra money for a Arizona green tea in that situation, i'm addicted those those things!

I believe that our tank holds 17 gallons and every time i put gas i have 5miles to go, But when i fill up the car it only takes 15 gallons. So technically you still have about 2 gallons reserve at a minimun of 22mpg.

you'll be fine

I never understood the "I have no money so I'll let the gas tank get as low as it will go before filling up" theory. Are you really saving money? You could fill up more often and spend less per fill up or fill up less often and spend more. Either way it is the same amount of money...

I humored by the "poor college student" who can't afford gas for their Lexus.

Not that accurate but close enough...I run mines down to 0 miles most of the time and when I fill up...it always stop around 15.4 and 15.5 gallons and thats after putting a little more gas after the click. So I still have at least 1.6 gallons left for reserve, the tank holds 17.1 gallons BTW.

Hahaha yeah really. I drove my grand am in college and THAT pushed me hard as hell, I couldnt even dream of affording this car until I started working for two years.

The range meter seems to be most accurate in city driving conditions. On the highway I will drive 75 miles and it only goes down by about 40-45 miles. In the city unless im in stop dead traffic it tends to be very close!

I thought it was bad to run your tank on empty.

Maybe a "priorities and common sense" class should be in the summer catalog.

Yes its bad because your fuel cools your fuel pump so during hot weather fuel pumps die more often.
