I can remember 9 months ago when I called you about the Castle on the Hudson New IS Preview that Lexus had invited us to. That almost seemed like it was just yesterday!

Yeah it does seem like yesterday...I was convinced then that I had to have the car. My brother who came with me for that got his 350 a few weeks ago as well...he loves it. But he didn't wait the 4 months for a sport package...went with Lux/Nav instead. BTW I am scheduled to be in L.A. next week.

So I'm becoming more and more unhappy with the deal I arranged for my special order.

I agreed over the phone to a 2006 Blue Onyx/Sterling 250AWD, Lux, Nav, ML, Park Assist, XM Radio, Spoiler for $40,500. But that was in April, and I won't get the car probably until July. At that time, orders for 2007's will already have been placed, and MANY of you are quoting 2006 prices at well below what I agreed to.

Since I special ordered and haven't signed any paperwork yet (or paid a deposit yet, but I do have the order confirmation in my hand), should I.... 1) walk completely away from this deal (possibly owe $500 deposit) and order a 2007, or 2) when the car arrives, re-negotiate the price WAY down? I really think I should be able to take that car away for $39K tops.

Congrats Johnny! Looks great! I've been thinking if I got the new IS I would like to get the IS250/AWD also. Just love the power of the 350 though! (They need a IS350AWD ) Decisions decisions. What I DO know is that I want the spoiler and the pedals!!!! Is that part of the sport package? Or did you order them seperately or what? I haven't done enough research on the 2IS to know. Shame on me.

I ordered my pedals and only got the gas and brake, did yours come with the fott rest as well????

I tried to do a "full custom" special order, but they weren't having any of that at Lexus, so I optioned out my 250AWD with Lux pkg, Nav/ML, and headlight washers. Then I had my wife order up the pedals (from the sport package IS) and spoiler - once the car arrived it took an extra day to get the pedals and spoiler done, but it was well worth it...I love the reaction I get from people that open the driver's door and those pedals just "POP" from the foot well, especially against the black interior. Sewell Lexus has some great pricing on the spoiler and the pedals and they are great to work with.
