I've had light colored leather is a few of my previous vehicles; they look great when new, but get dirty and grimey looking if you don't keep after them with the leather care products.
Have to say that I do like the "Z" styling of the interior door handle; it's much more noticable on the lighter interiors than it is on the black.

I have the sterling also. Last minute decision and the best thing I did. I like the black too, don't get me wrong - the interior is awesome any way you get it. I just really like the grey/black combo.
On my first G35 I had the black interior. Once you treat the leather, you always have to do it periodically, because the matt and shine difference show over a short while. In other words, as little as you apply, they get splotchy.
In my second G35, I got the light beige (willow) and NEVER treated the leather. It stayed AWESOME and SOFT. The only problem I had, after almost 3 years, was noticing a light blue line at the base of the seatback. Obviously, this was from bluejeans.
In the IS, I will periodically wipe just that area with a barely damp cloth containing soap and water. That should do the trick. I will not treat this leather eather - especially with tint.
