Default Anybody wish the IS came in a lighter gray/charcoal color?

Hi guys, I think the IS would look great with more of a gray color as well. With all the names out there, I don't quite know what to call it. I guess kind of like the color they offer on the G35 or maybe the TL. I hope you guys know what I mean. Anybody agree? I think it is a pretty popular color.

From the Lexus website the SGM looked like the grey I want but then it looked almost
black in person, didn't like that. And the darker the color, the harder it is to maintain.

Other than another shade of gray/silver, Lexus has been looking at colors that change depending on the light, such as GFM (white to silver to blue silver) or BOP (black to purple to blue). These types of colors are more interesting than a unitone gray.

I agree with wanting a lighter shade of grey - the g35 diamond graphite is an exquisite color (I had it before). Lexus has silver and dark, dark grey but nothing in between for the IS - I think you're like me in wanting something in between.

Cool

I agree with you heasyrider. I was going to order the Smokey Granite Mica but then saw it in person and thought it was too dark. I thought it was going to be the same color as the Graphite Gray Pearl that was on the IS300 which I had and loved. I decided on the Tungsten Pearl instead, but it is a little light for my liking. There weren't any cars around on the car lots to see the color choices but there was one SGM on the lot. Now, if I could see all the colors on the cars I might have made a different choice.

I don't think the SGM is too dark at all. It all depends on the sunlight, though. On cloudy, overcast days, the car looks really light in color. On sunny days, the car almost has a bronze hue.

Yes, Keeeeez, exactly! I also had a g35 diamond graphite (coupe) and loved the color as well. I guess Lexus prides themselves on being unique in their colors.

is4me2, I really like the Tungsten Pearl. That will probably be the color I choose unless they do come out with a gray color, but, I still may choose Tungsten. I have never had a silverish color car.

Thanks!

I don't think they could have made a color I liked more than SGM.
