lol I'm surprised i can across this thread. I got my windows tinted at Alpha Tint in stanton and the guy asked me if i needed Hid's installed and told me about how he has done many IS's. I told him i don't need it b/c i have stock hid's. I guess 2 of the IS's he worked on was the members of CL. The box for xenon depot is still at his store lol. Johung i have a question do you happen to live in Sorrento? if you do we live in the same area.Send me a PM maybe we can meet up.

hey Johung and JavyLSU,

1st off, gotta say the lights look sick.

i'm thinking about getting the same kit, and was just wondering if you guys had the stock halogen head lights or if you had the OEM hids before you switched to the xenon depots?

I live in Chicago, and I wish I lived by Alpha Tint!! lol, ah well

Very nice. Also looks like they did a good job with the install. Your beam pattern looks pretty much like the stock HID's i've got. A lot of the aftermarket HID pic's i've seen seem to have a beam pattern that looks a bit off but yours looks good.

Does the 6000k resemble the HIDs on Evos? I love their blueness. I am stuck between 6000 and 8000, I dont want purple but I dont want white either.

Yes you have to see it in person. Personally I like the 6k better than the 8k. 8K to me is more bluer. My other IS is running 12k and that's super purple. . .

Hartawan,

I personally would not suggest the 8000k. That is just my personal preference. You lose a lot of useable light output. The 6000k kit will offer you a bright white output with a slight bluish/purpulish tinge depending on the angle you view the light from. Another option would be to get the 4300k kit. The bulbs will colour shift meaning that they do get slightly bluer with time (within approx 100 hours).

XD 6k is NOT as blue as the generic 6k brands. I had mccolloch 6k and it was too blue for me. so i went w/ 5k but it still wans't that great. BETTER but not great.. XD looks the best. its not "blue" and i think it will suit your standards great

a quick question to all 6000k owners, are any of the 6000k people constantly getting high beamed? Im still indecisive on the 4300 or 6000, and I dont want to irritate drivers on the road if the output is bad. Though if 6000 would irritate people then wouldnt the 4300 since it outputs more lighting?

You want Evo-style lighting? go with 4300k and stiffen your suspension up...seriously.

Thanks for the compliment... I had stock halogen bulbs, so it was a complete conversion (using the stock refractor), not just a bulb swap.

No, they didn't need to remove the bumper.

The 6000k is similar to what you're looking for. I wouldn't recommend the 8000k to ANYONE that actually drives their car. Aside from my opinion that they look purple (waaayy beyond blue), the light output is horrible. For those of you that are trying to decide between the 4300 and the 6000k, here's a picture of the OEM 4100k Lexus HID's (on the left) and the Xenon Depot 6000k kit (on the right). Although the XD bulb is technically a higher kelvin, there is no visual difference in color or light output between the stock 4100k and the XenonDepot 4300k kit. Also, the car on the left has yellow fogs, while the car on the right has SilverStar fogs. The best point of comparison in this picture is by focusing on the center: compare the left car's right headlight with the right car's left headlight (if that makes any sense... ). Ignore everthing else:

Hope this helps!

Javier
