I was driving in the rain the other day and I noticed that when I was behind a red light, my wipers would slow down, and I do not have rain sensing wipers. Needless to say, this triggered some testing. I finally figured out that when you have the wipers set to low, they will slow down when the car is stopped. I figured it was a neat little feature.

I think that is called speed sensing wipers I have had that on my past 2 cars. when sitting still the wipers slow down and then when you accelerate the wipers speed up works when the wipers are set to delay also.

This is true, i've noticed this before but it was raining real hard yesterday and I noticed it again. This was only the second or third time it's rained here in the past 6 months...

Hmm. Good to know, i thought something was wrong with my car. My last car had rain sensors and it was relatively new (2004 Mazda3) but i never got to check for the speed sensing wipers since it had rain sensing. Thanks for the replies.
