Not sure if it's been posted or if you guys were aware, but if your IS250/350 has the Sports Package, the illuminated door sill kit is straight up plug-n-play. I just installed one on my 350, and it literally took 5 minutes. It comes prewired and you just plug in the wire from the new door sill into the stock empty connector. Absolutely no tools needed since there are no screws (all held with plastic clips/connectors), and obviously no wire cutting required. I just used my hands to snap/pry off the old door sill, and snapped the new one on.

I got mine on eBay (~$220 including shipping), at http://stores.ebay.com/itsallaboutyourlexus. It's a dealer in Texas, so they have stock and lighting fast shipping. Got my stock spoiler there too, btw. What sucks, though, is me finding out now that it's cheaper at lexus-parts.com, which is the same company/dealership .

Shoot. My wifes new RX350 has the illuminated sill plates on all 4 doors. Hmmmmm... I wonder if I can jack her rear sill covers... Have to do some measuring tonight.

I just checked lexus-parts and saw that they sell the front sills and rear sills. Front is $194 and rear is $129.96; however, they have the rear for a car with black int. only. Not sure why they wouldn't have the rear for those with non-black int.

*edit: they list that one is the front sills and the other is the rear sills but when you click on the links, they are both front sills only. strange.

I think that you can order both the front and rear, but the rear are NOT illuminated for this car. That was my understanding. Search for the earlier post on this topic for a definite answer.

is there any special way to pull off the existing sill without breaking/damaging? just pull hard and it will pop off?

That's correct, the rear sill plates are NOT illumunated. If your car came equipped withe aluminum sill plates, then just purchase the front ones.

Man I wish I had known earlier that these are plug-n-play for the Sport Package! I almost bought these several months ago, but got scared away by all the wiring problems people were having... Now I just ordered mine today! Hopefully everything will go smoothly...

If you look at this page:

you will see that it says illuminated for the rear sills with the ivory interior but not for the black interior. On previous threads, people from that dealership have said that the rear sills are NOT illuminated, and the only reason you would get them is if you have a base or Premium IS that has plastic sills rather than the metallic sills that come with the Sport and Luxury. Therefore I think this is a typo on the website. But maybe someone from Sewell could confirm?

I believe you are correct on this. Rear sills are not illuminated and there is indeed a typo on Lexus-parts' website.
