Just found this interesting article while searching the web, it seems that Lexus is introducing IS300 (Not IS250 or IS350) in China, it uses the 3GR-FE engine (the same engine uses in GS300 in Asia Pacific except Japan that doesn't have Direct Injection). For anyone interested and can read Chinese, here's the link to the article.

An IS300 with sports package and 245 HP (same as GS300) and a 6 speed manual would be sick as hell. 0-60 in most likely 6.3 - 6.4 secs.
It would make sense too from the competition stand point
IS250 -> 325i, TSX
IS300 -> 330i, TL
IS350 -> 335i, G35

Arh it kind of comforts me that the IS300 is in China, because when I was going through my owners manual on our HK spec IS250's. Theres also a IS300 diagram in it. I thought they are going to release the IS300 here in HK which will be disaster for us in terms of depreciation. Because as you can see by the chinese MSRP you can tell that Lexus here in HK have put the MSRP overvalued (Especially Deluxe Model), I don't understand how in anyway a IS250 Duluxe can cost more than the ES300 Deluxe, makes no sence in anyway and have not happened in any country. I heard it's going to be officially out in July?
Doctorttt - outside US and Canada, alot of country put their road taxin terms of engine size (c.c) like here in HK, it goes from 0-1.5L and 1.5-2.5L etc. So car dealers usually have car speced under the quota to sell more cars. So it kinda makes no sence to have a IS300 here if it dosent make a signaficant difference.

When I picked up my IS yesterday, I overheard a sales consultant telling a customer that the new ES350 will be priced @ ~560K-600K HKD. If that is true (which doesn't make any sense to me as the current price of the GS is 500K-550K HKD) , the pricing on the IS would totally make sense.
