Default Just test drove an IS350

This car was amazing! The steering wheel auto adjusted to me when I got in. Black exterior and interior, Voice activated temp control, nav, A/C seats, wow!

Drove the BMW 330i afterwards, and it's not even close. I didn't like the feel of the BMW when I was driving it. Also, the interior was just so plain.

The sticker price was $45,000 but the dealer said he could do $40k. Probably go lower than that.

What I'm trying to decide now is, should I just go ahead and get this car, or should I wait 3 months or so for the 2007 models to roll out. My credit score is not that good at 619, so if I wait I might get better interest cause my score should go up a little. Plus I'll have more for a downpayment. Right now I can trade-in plus 6k down.

Should I just get it now, or wait for the '07?

I'm a mortgage broker, and as such, like to see my clients be in the best possible position before qualifying. If your score is going to increase and you will have more money saved up/less financial burden to you at that point then I say wait. Plus if you wait for '07 there could be some '06's still on the lot they'll let go for less than they would be now. I think the '07's will be in high demand, higher than the '06's when the '07's come out of course, but I still think Lexus will be willing to deal on the packages that were still there in '06.

It depends on how long one waits to buy an '07, but $5000 off sounds pretty good unless the thing is loaded up a boatload of dealer addons. I would guess that whispers of a mid model cycle refreshioning will be heard with the '08s

I want one so bad right now, that I'll be getting it as soon as the 07 comes out. I'm hoping to get the same options that this one had, for the same price.

If you want an IS, and you can really get 5 grand off list, you should gobble it up.

In most of the country you're lucky to get 1500 off.

i'm surpised at all of you!!! you didn't catch this?

the steerwheel doens't auto-adjust to you. when you turn the car off it returns to its minimum axis values. when you turn it on it returns to the last setting. it doens't auto-adjust to the driver, you have to do that yourself one time

I can't believe you even have to ask. That's one of the best deals I've heard of, get it before someone else does and enjoy the heck out of it.

You can say that again. Those that say they dont like the feel of BMW (* ummm this is going to sound bad... *) But those that say that they dont like the feel of BMW are just not into driving... handling... and perfornamce... I'm not talking abuout straight line performance... but all around.

If you like Lexus feel over BMW then you like the comfort and like the feeling of being disconnected from the road. You like caddys!

Wait for the 2007 IS because some of the first year kinks should be worked out by then.

I don't know man. When I was in the Lexus, I felt like I was actually driving a car. I like cars that you can tell that you're going fast, lane changes are quick, and you actually feel like you're in total control of everything that's going on.

I didn't feel that with the BMW. Like I said, it takes too long to get going from a stopping point, and the steering felt really stiff. I got more of that Caddy feeling with the BMW 330i than the IS350.

The IS350 felt more fun to drive than the 330i. The steering wheel itself was smaller, and felt more responsive when turning, and switching lanes on the freeway. I feel the power instantly when I step on the gas. It takes off with no hesitation.

I actually did feel like I'm on the road with the IS350, but not with the 330i. I'm not being biased in anyway cause I actually wanted the 330i more than the IS350 before I went to the dealerships. I was really surprised with what I found after test driving both cars.
