Default Tinted my car this past weekend.

Yes, this is a pretty useless thread that I'm making. But I feel like showing off my baby.

More pictures to come, I ended up just cruising around instead of taking pics.

Anyway, I tinted my car on Saturday. At Song's Tint Masters. They did a awesome job, even though I showed up late for my appointment.

I went with Madico Onyx 35%. I was tempted to pay the high price for Ceramic cause of the heat rejection, but I really couldn't, besides, I wanted that coooool black tint look.

Might I add, it does NOT affect my Navigation system at all.

Enjoy!

Side shots tomorrow If you have Black interior and don't want it too, dark, maybe you can go a shade higher.

Well, the ONYX line is a dyed film with metallic in it, to give it some reflectiveness.

Regular "tint" is just, black dyed film without very good rejection to UV's. There is also straight metallic films, hybrids, ceramics etc.

I can't explain ceramic tint myself, but all I know is it's not a dyed film, nor does it have any metal particles inside it. Supposely one of the best materials in the industry.

I know someone will chime in and define all of this.

So far, I'm loving it, but it's definately dark at times.

Looks nice, Pocky, but my sensible self is telling me to go with something lighter, like 40. BTW, those pictures really great, resized and edited and all ;P

I wanted something not too dark also and thought the 35s might be too dark but then the next shade up is a 50 and that might be too light. Argh......don't know what to do. Some side shots tomorrow? Thanks, it'll def help me decide.

knihc, yup whoever resized & edited the photo did a great job.

I'm planning to tint my front windshield eventually with the Ceramic tint. Just go really light, and your fine. I had 60% on the on the front in my old car, couldn't even tell.

Song's Tint Masters is located in Los Angeles, around the outskirts of Ktown.

www.clearcutadvantage.com

I paid $220 total for it. If you guys decide to give them a try, look for Hann Kim.

More pics tomorrow.

I thought the windows already provide rejection to UV. If so, no matter what kind of tints you have on, won't it be there just for looks?

Hey pocky,
Looks great! I got mine tinted too and ended up going with the ceramic at 35% and I have noticed a huge difference in the cabin temp when I walk into the car...

teejnut, Yup! I think I saw you before cruising around. Hey, are you going to the my.IS Aerotect meet this sunday? If so, hit me up, cause I'm going to do a pre-meet and caravan.

Flipsonic, Yes the factory glass already has tint and UV rejection. Depending on the type of tint you choose, it will provide even more heat rejection from the sun. It feels so good now, cause every morning the sun is facing the driving side and burning my arm & face, and now I can't feel it.

redcell, Yeah, the Ceramic tint is awesome. How much did you end up paying for it?
