One more question Phil (as I am by no means an installer) it says in the directions to remove the battery terminal cables - is this necessary? And are there any other reprecusssions in doing so - ie radio has to be re-coded etc....? Thanks.

Not sure. I just checked the maintanence screen (where you do the override) and could not find any info. Maybe there is another screen, or it may need to be hooked up the a computer to find out...

I probably should have, but I did not remove the negative terminal. If their is power running to the device there is always the chance of shorting or getting shocked. I will leave it up to you to weigh the risks. I know some radios will not work if the power is removed until you enter the "code". Not sure on this one though, maybe check the manual in the if your battery fails section. I think there is a list of the things you have to reset when you lose power. Good luck with your install. Hit me up if you have any questions.

For those looking for the VAIS Tech unit, I just wanted to point out that they are running a group buy for $209.99 on it. http://www.vaistech.com/forums/calen...6-5-28&e=2&c=1

Sorry is was a mistake on our side, and it has all been fixed now.
SLI does work with IS 250/350 with and without Navigation.
Now it's emulating MP3 player with full text support.

You placed an order for a similar module already? Did you get the discount code yet?

Yeah, I know I have more money than sense as my dad would say (and has said many times). I will see whch one I like best and sell the other (if I can't return it). The person I talked with said that when the group buy ends (6/15) they will email each person registered for the group buy the code to use on the web site to buy a module. So, you should see an email on the 15th with your code in it.
