Default Best CAI for IS 350

I want to start doing some mods and I figured out start out with the basics. What is the best cold air intake to get for our IS 350's??

There is no best. It's subjective to say the least. All Cold Air Intakes are generally the same and will produce around the same.

I think it's more like what brand you would prefer over the other.

As of now the only true intake that draws in air from outside the engine bay is the stock intake. Not many choices at the moment. I think (3) and 2 of them are almost identical as they are both short ram intakes and the other one just enhances the stock intake setup.

I'll try to say this without throwing gas on the fire, again. The Joe Z enhances (hope this will be politically correct enough) the stock intake, and I haven't heard any of its owners complain. In general we are happy with it, subtle deep sound at high rev and improved throttle response. Hopeful that Blitz or K&N filter will make addtitional improvement.

When are the real intakes going to come out? I want something that will make the engine roar! lol I love this car but I wish there was something to make the engine more noticeable. Waiting for AEM to come out with a CAI!

Honestly, I'll echo and say that a modified stock airbox works fine.

In all honesty I would imagine that any muffler shop can easily fabricate you an intake. I plan to do this for my friend's 350 pretty soon. I would imagine that it wouldn't be much more difficult than to weld/cut a few pipes.

BTW Are you around the Ventura area?
