The 2006 is not last year's model, it is the current model. The 2007 won't be out until September or October.

Why go with 2007? It will be outdated in like 15 months. Your cousin should go with the 2008

On a 2007, in September, they will deal much less, then you will wait till you can get a better deal. Then 2008 is around the corner. Same thing. Wait for a 2009. OR- you could wait 4 years until gen3 IS is coming out or get like $1000 over invoice on a gen 2 in 2011. Saving another $500 bucks could be worth waiting 4 years right?

I see people over at AVSForum playing the waiting game for the next best HDTV.
While they wait and miss now the rest are enjoying what they got.

Yes saving $500 is worth it only if you make that much in a year.

I email Lexus's staff but all they mention was coming this Fall. I also ask them about the HKS exhaust which was available for '06 in spring which seem to be discontinue but no reply from Lexus. Would any of you know what happen?

I believe there was a forum about paying MSRP. Most ppl either paid msrp or lower. Never heard anyone paying over it.

I'll look at the dates at work again... I see to recall it being pretty close to last years with a retail date in October but I might be a little off...

Also I posted about the HKS exhaust a while back... it's not coming... at least, not as an option from Lexus in the forseeable future.

According to my direct source at corporate, it's coming 2nd half of this year.

That would be great, I heard it was off the books entirely but that was back in feb/mar and I hadn't checked again since then. That will be excellent.

About a 2006 being "last" years model! Hahahah man I wish the US would stop playing these games. Be like europe introduce the next years model when the "next" year arrives! and Calculate re-sale vaule with the number plate not what "year" the car is..

Introduce a 2007 when 2007 arrives. EARLIEST being the standard September timeframe and not in March 2006 and calling it a 2007. ridiculous game BMW and Lexus and whoever is playing.

It seems like everyone wants to one-up the other guy and cars keep getting introduced earlier and earlier. Its like seeing Chrismas stuff in stores in September when 20 years ago they didn't show up until November. Before long, the Chistmas sales, the after Christmas sales, and NEXT year's new cars will all be in January.
