Default Where is a good place to sell your is -

Well, as of yesterday, I may have a job transfer and a new company car.

If I do, where is a good place to sell a like new IS. A company car means no car payments and I will be able to save for a new house.

My brother say ebay sucks and autotrader you get to many car brokers trying to see you car for you at a cheap price and crazy fees.

I am 99.9% sure I got the job.

Put a For Sale sign on it and drive it for a while and see if there are any takers. Put an ad in the paper. It's a hot car it should sell pretty fast. Maybe someone on the forum will be interested.

Good luck and Congrats on the new job!

See if they'll give you a "car allowance" in lieu of a company car.

From experience, eBay is a difficult and expensive way to advertize your car.

Between AutoTrader and Cars.com, I got four hits with AutoTrader for every hit with Cars.com. I think it's because AutoTrader also prints out a magazine along with the net ad, whereas Cars.com is only on the net ad.

Have you thought about putting it on the ClubLexus Classifieds? We might be interested...

Good luck.

I've sold 2 cars on CARS.com and my last LX470 on AutoTrader. Yes, I got calls from the autobrokers, but just blew them off and showed the car to real buyers till it sold in less than a month.

First off, Congradulations on the new job.

I would go with autotrader, sure you may get brokers calling, but you are by no means obligated to use them.

I was going to say. I sold my last car like that... I also had it on Autotrader but I HATE the car broker calls..

I tell them to F*@& off.

Or I'll say I'll double your $39 fee thats guarantee to sell my car for what i want and they never take my offer. I somtimes even say I'll give you $200 for you to sell it for what i want.

www.autotrader.com is your best bet.

Sold like 5+ cars through there. No brokers ever called me.

What cars were you selling? Brokers dont want 1986 Cressidas or 1990 Honda Civics...

For an IS... and in a hot market right now they'll hunt you down.
