Default My dog Charlie loves my IS350

Ever wonder how a dog would feel riding in your new 2IS? Picture is worth a thousand words.
I took another trip up to PA today and couldn't help but to take a photo of my boy chillin in the backseat hammock. BTW.. I did another fuel mileage test on the highway for 85 miles and averaged 29mpg. I love this car.

Good dog, good dog. Good owner, good owner.

Does your boy respond to as many voice comands as the car?

White dogs rule!!

I've seen 29 mpg as my tank average if I fill up on the highway and drive to my destination. But once I get to my destination or home and start doing lots of piddling little short trips, mileage drops back to well under 25.

cute dog, he looks so soft.

What did you use to cover the leather so his nails wont dig in?

Thanks. I use a thing called a pet hammock. It basically hangs in the back seat so to speak and attaches on the front seat head rests and the rear. Works perfectly and even matches the interior of the car.

Charlie looks like he's in the lap of luxury

Her reminds me very much of my last dog (now 15 years gone) after his summer shave. Teddy was a Cockapoo (mother was Standard Poodle)

The day a dog or cat gets into my 350, hell will freeze over and Congress will no longer be crooked swines.

May I suggest seat covers? The claws will tear the leather in no time.....

29 MPG is very possible in the IS350. If you get a fresh tank and head on to the high way and drive at a moderate pace, 29 is possible. If you are around the 20-23mpg range, im guessing you make a lot short stops, drive in heavy traffic, or like to drive your car hard. On the highway i avg around 28, in traffic/city driving i average 21-23.

I do have a seat cover (hammock) in the back. There is no way anything will get messed up back there. He just sits there and looks out the windows and occasionally lays down. Trust me with that perforated leather, I'm not taking any chances either.

My lab goes everywhere with me and those Pet Hammocks are great. Highly recommended.

This was just after a fill up and I got onto the highway doing about 60. It dropped once I got off, but it was there for a while....
