Default 5-minute Caller ID 'hack'

I didn't have the cajones do the Nav Hack, so I just put adhesive on the car and on the cell phone. I figure I'll just pick up the phone and look at who's calling.

This is a 'way', but... Lexus should understand that finding out the cell, rising it and looking at its small chars is by far more dangerous than letting IDs on the NAV screen... And 90% of people would do that way, if the ID were not on the NAV.
Therefore... pls Lexus give us a safer cheat!

It doesn't show who's calling on the screen??? Even my friend's TSX does that, it's part of the gauge cluster for the TSX though.

Unless you do the nav hack, all phone numbers, including those on the caller ID display, blank out while the car is in motion.

Fortunately if the caller is in your phone book, the name (but not the number) will pop up on the display, even if the car is moving.

Lexus is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too cautious when it comes to product liability.
