i don't know much about systems. but on the website the w7 is a larger sub which is enough to just have one? and what kinda amp should be used with it? the 1000watt amp? i want a 12w7. what else would i need? thanks guys

Is it bad to have your amps mounted like that? Mine are actually upside down hanging from the upper portion of the inside of the trunk...I read its bad to have the amps like this & now Im wondering what else my installer did wrong....Can someone help me on wether my install is correct? Ive taken a few pictures & would like to add them to this forum. If my installer put the amps upside down its got me wondering what else did he do wrong?

PM me when you have this done please. I want to see some pics. I am not sure if I want to go with 2 subs or 1?? Everyone keeps telling me one but I would think running 2 at 50% would be better and cleaner. Many say to get the JL 13W7 and call it a day. I wanted to get 3 of the old school JL 10W6 Dual Voice Coils but they are hard to find in good condition. I really like how hard they hit and how clean they where. Plus running 3 of them you are a 1ohm and with that JL 1000/1 Mono amp
. I think I will probably just go with 2 subs and the 1000/1 and call it a day.

I was quoted 150 dollars for
- 1 ten inch pre fab box
- Installation of a single sub and my amps all wired
- Hi and low converter
- A **** so i can control my bass.
Does that sound like a fair price? Also can anyone suggest any audio shops in so cal?
preferably around the 818 626 and 213 area.

my setup
This is my setup. i first had my cousin's box but then my cousin and little brother built me the box and set it all up under a hundred box, i already had the sub and amp. not the greatest but a start
