Question for those of you who have W7's. I have 2xW7 10'' that have been sitting in my closet for nearly 4 years now and have yet seen some bass. Do you think I would need to use 2 of them, or should I pawn one off to my sister and just use one? I used to be a big audiophile, but I no longer really require head banging music tho I do like some bass. What's your input on the loudness of it in the isx50?

all depends on how you like your bass... loud or subtle i had each 10 12 13 w7 in my car i liked the 10 the most! but now im running 3 8's w7's... the back seat wall is SEALED PRETTY GOOOD! so i had to remove my factory sub to get some air through... other than that you should be happy with any w7 setup!!

Thanks for the feedback,
Joeker, is the 1000w recommended for just 1 sub? or is it just overkill? As far as an enclosure, i'll be taking it to my local shop for them to custom build one and fit it in so I have no idea as to how the setup will be yet. I want to begin generating some ideas, and the first idea would be either 2 or 1 w7 in the trunk
DJkibbles,
What made you decide to move down to 8''s from 10''s

Of course he was. Even back in the good days when the industry was flush with cash, they weren't handing out too many sponsorships to 18 year olds. Especially not ones with almost stock cars who then build a weak looking system. At different points, my old company cars were sponsored by Polk Audio, Alphasonik, and Harmon International (JBL and Infinity). They wanted to know what the system would look like, what shows the cars would be at, any magazine coverage, etc. It was strict, and the companies that sponsored us were relatively easy to get compared to JL Audio. The people I knew sponsored by JL built ridiculous cars. Maybe his stereo shop gave him a 10% discount and called it a sponsorship.

Same here. I was thinking about trying to make two fiberglass enclosures, like the 4080's, but for my first venture into fiberglass I might be in over my head. I just don't want to go standard box either, though.
