Thinking about doing 2 10" subs and amp set up in my car, wanna go with a jl setup, any recommendations for me? I was looking at jl 10w3-v3 subs but im not sure on the amp. I not the most knowledgeable person on sound systems and i just want a clean sound and be able to turn it up when i want, when i feel like being a bass head lol. I'll be building my own box too.
thanks

I'v got one 12" Alpine sub and a Punch 300.1 amp. I think the sealed box is 1.25 cubic feet? Anyway, I was displeased with the lack of upper bass notes coming from the ML sub out...so I got the jl cleansweep and summing module to give my amp all the FULL RANGE frequency it needs.
Let me tell you what....best money spent on the car so far, as far as enjoability goes. If you look on ebay you should be able to pick up the parts for about 100 bucks if you're patient. Another 125 for install (cause it aint easy) and you've got yourself the true musicals notes you've been missing by tapping the ML sub lines.
PS: dont let any audio shop con you into thinking the entire system has to be setup on the cleensweep...thats just a lie. You can leave all the other lines intact (cause it sounds pretty damn good) and just run it for the bass.
PPS: the cleansweep also comes with a remote level out/w push button on/off. makes it nice to adjust the bass gain as each song requires.

2 10w3v3's (or 2 10w6v2's if you really want slap) powered by a 1000/1v2 with a remote bass control **** mounted on the dash. I would lean toward the 10w3v3's because you don't lose as much depth in your trunk (assuming your box will be sitting as close to the back seats as possible). Good luck!

Im going to make my own setup custom. Just a question. If i were to run lighting for it what wire(s) would i tap for power? Can i use the thin orange wire which is the same as the remote wire so it turns on when the cars on? Will that produce enough power to run lets say the glow lights u can buy at walmart or autopart stores. People usually stick em under there seat and what not... Thanks!
