swapping out the stock amp

pr0vakativ,
Love to see the setup and how you handled the dash. I was thinking of going the Pioneer Nav unit route with the XMNav traffic. Or maybe I'll wait until a 2007 IS with Nav hits the junkyard and get the unit from there.

You should really think about selling that dash kit (if you haven't already). Really good work!!
I'm assuming that you still have the stock CD changer located in the trunk? How do the two radios integrate? Are you able to use both or ?

I rework the factory face of the stereo that came from lexus. that way i have all the clips that clips in place.
And the factory changer/stereo assembly was taken apart. I took the main board out that the harness plugs into .. and relocate that under the dash.. wrapped it with Vblok material so it does not short out.. No wires was extended.. Basically you dont have to relocate the whole stereo. and those of you that seen ppl put it in the glove box. It is possible but you will have to cut the glove box to make it fit.. I've tried just putting it in and the door of the glove box did not want to close.
Factory amp was taken out and replace with the Rockford fosgate 1000 watts 5 channel Limited Edition and replace the door speakers with two sets of FOCAL Polyglass components 6.5 and Ill tell you this guys.. by changing out just the speaker itself it will sound alot better.. My friend Prov. was impress of the amount of Bass he was getting from the doors.. It sounded like he already have subwoofers in the cabin of his car. As long the speaker is Mounted and installed corrrectly, you will love the sound compare to the factory system... For those that think those BOSE system are nice in GM cars or even any premium system.. this setup that Provacativ has.. is alot better.
Focal is what i would recommend but everyone has their opinions on speaakers.. MB cannot handle that much bass once it's turned up too high, it clips out at high volume. so i wouldnt recommend that.
