Default HID stand alone option for 2007 IS

My local lexus dealer just confirmed me that HIDs will be available as stand alone option on the 2007 models. She couldn't tell me the cost for the upgrade. Any of you want to guess?

Very good price for factory HIDs, trying pricing out a BMW.

holy crap and the angels rejoice with a glorius anthem. This is exactly what I wanted to hear, I dont have to get a retarded 3500 package. I was planning to get a sport package, but now I can get my own aftermarket suspension

I must say that I got the Lux pkg for the #1 reason of the HID's. If they would have been standard, the Prem Pkg would have been all I got.

Is the $850 for both side or is that per side?

Thats what the dealer quoted me when I called about a month ago. So both side would total to about $1700 or so.

It's actually very inexpensive. Most OEM HID options for other cars are in the $1,200-2000 range.

I only wish this option was available last year.
