Yep, the guy at the tire shop broke the bead on the oem tires, used the mounting machine to push the side wall down and reached in and grabbed the monitor. Just so everyone knows, the monitor has a threaded straight valve stem attached to it and is secured to the outside of the wheel with a "stem nut". Thats why wheels that have the angled valve stems are not monitor compatible. Until the tire guy pulled one out, I had no idea what the things looked like...

I thought I was perfectly happy with my car the way it was with the standard rims, but OMG seeing yours I've fallen in love 
Those look absolutely perfect for that color car, which is the same as mine. Hopefully some day I can justify those, it may be soon as I've chewed up two already....only two to go
