those that are using the V1 how does it do on highways with slight curves? Im using the 8500x50 now, but i notice the protection isnt all that great on curves. Basically if the cop is not in front or behind, it does not pick up very well till about 1 second before I see it

Thinking of going to the V1 but not too sure about the false alarms? Does it false on Ka band? or just the regular X and K. Because I have yet to have the 8500 false on a Ka band

It's not bad.

To be honest, I think the V1 is overrated. I don't think it's as great as everyone thinks, yet everyone continues to hop on the bandwagon.

Well if you dont think its that great, try one out. V1 is a radar locator and detector, that is what makes it stand above the rest. BTW detected KA band from 1.9 mi. away yesterday....

I use one on a daily basis, and have for the past 3 years.

Honestly, any decent radar/lidar detector when used properly will work.

lol........at least you are prepared! I did the same thing. Got my V1 in Dec and car end of Feb. and had my bluetooth phone in Oct. I think I was anxious too. Also, don't forget to order your custom made sunshield.

I have a 8500 i dont care if someone has a V1, both probably far exceed what a typical person needs in radar protection

Does anyone have or have experience with the Solo S2 ? I really like the fact that it is cordless so I can switch it between cars easily/no wires/etc., but I don't want to sacrifice quality.

unless youre hardwiring the detector i dont think its hard to move a detector to a different vehicle, doesnt that run on batteries, thats a huge turn off
