Default 2IS HID Bulbs -- D2R or D2S??

Im trying to switch my stock 4300 HID bulbs for some Philips 6000K ones. I just need to know if the 2IS bulbs are D2R or D2S, any help would be appreciated.

the stock HID bulbs are D4S. there are VERY few online vendors for these kind of bulbs.

The car uses Philips XenEco D4S Bulbs stock. I ordered replacement Philips XenEco D4S bulbs rated at 5800K and it didn't make any difference in color. Save your money.. if you really want to change the color, then I'd suggest you to get new ballasts and run D2S bulbs.

so basically if someone wants the 6000k look and they have stock HIDs. . . pretty much you might as well buy a whole aftermarket HID kit from xenondepot?

I want 6000k too and i have stock HIDs!!!

no, you just change the bulbs. no need to change any of the other components

But if you read some of the other posts (Jinetix) he clearly states that just adding the bulbs did not make much of a difference at all.

i wonder if it's due to the fact that you guys's hid bulbs are still relatively new, so they are burning at slight different color

i have gs400 and sc430, both changed from stock 4300k bulbs to 6000k, i see noticeable difference.

granted, my gs400 is d2r and sc430 is d2s

i have also heard that the d4s bulbs they burn a bit bluer than d2s. not sure if that could be a reason as well

I was hoping that maybe it was because they are new . . . but i think he already took em out. Maybe he can shed a little light on this. I just want that sweet 6000k look

I still have the 5800K D4S in my passenger side headlamp. They still haven't changed color.. it's exactly the same color as the stock HIDs. My friend says he can tell a slight difference.. but its not significant enough to go out and shell $210 for replacements.

If you look at xenonvalot they updated the site and now have 6000k d4s bulbs available. I am thinking about purchasing them. Jinetix are these the same bulbs you purchased b/c i know that the philips 5800k does not make much of a difference.
