Question Parts online?

Where is the best place to buy OEM parts (oil filter, plugs, belts, etc...) online for the new IS?

I doubt anyone has researched buying plugs and belts so far because that's
all stuff that wont go for yrs.. So to order just an oil filter from the web doesn't make sense, beacuse the shipping costs would probably negate any small savings...Just my 2 cents.

Your local Toyota Dealer will sell the same oil filter for your Lexus for a little less then what the Lexus Dealer charges...
Just make sure you have the right part number.

Sometimes they can apply a "AAA" discount on parts & service..
That is.. IF you have "AAA" & IF they accept it..

Tell them you're a CL member.

Several Lexus/Toyota dealerships are CL vendors and can probably provide you with the parts that you need at a discount. In my personal experience with the CL vendors, the one that has always given me the BEST price and SERVICE is Hendrick Lexus in NC. Their main number is 704/568-4122. When you call them tell them that you're from CL and they will give you a nice discount. Good luck in finding what you're looking for

If you can afford a Lexus you should not be complaining about paying a couple extra bucks for shipping. It makes more sense to me to have parts delivered to my door, than drive around town to get parts which also involves time and MONEY.

To all of you that had constructive comments, thanks a lot.

i really hate people who use the 'if you can afford a lexus...' line.

some people buy their lexus at the dealer. others take 7 year payment plans. just becuase you are driving a lexus does not mean you are high class. it just means you have very good taste and at a stretch...a good researcher.

I agree you don't have to be "high class" to own a Lexus, but you must have a decent income to afford it. Sorry to hear is going to take you almost a decade to pay for your Lexus.

Well just because someone drives a Lexus doesn't mean they should have to pay higher costs for shipping. I can understand parts maybe costing a bit more but shipping just doesn't make sense.

Let say I need an oil filter. Do you think I just going to order one? I will probably order 5 filters at once, since it will probably cost me the same as just ordering one. Don't forget the time factor...
