I dont need the whole side mirror assembly, just the actual mirror/glass part. For some reason both of my side mirrors are all pitted with hundreds of little rock chips. I dont know where they came from since only the glass is pitted and not the surrounding mirror housing. Its also very weird cause when you driving the mirror is facing you not the direction you are going

im thinking of getting a new set as well in the future as my mirror is all scratched up(swirl marks).. and i have no idea how since ive never touched them except when i wipe them down with a wet microfiber towel..

I'd take the swirl marks all day over my little chips. My mirrors look like they were following a dirt truck with rock and dirt falling off of it for hundreds of miles. Really they are that bad

Not sure on the IS, but one of my friend's Audi A4 got damaged with one of the side mirror and it costed her $400 to get it replaced at the dealer.

The mirrors are VERY expensive, especially the auto dimming side mirrors.

my left rear view mirror had lots of swirls in it so i brought it back to the dealership, claimed that its defective and they replaced the mirror part. this was just about a week ago.

That's what I was thinking too, if both of your mirrors are pitted already, I'd take it back to the dealership and have them replace them.
