Default 2006 IS250 or 2007G35???

Ive been doing some research for quite some time now and Im looking into getting a new car...either a 2006 or 2007 IS250 or a 2007 Infiniti G35. I would go with the IS350 but its a little pricey. For those of you with the 250 what are your thoughts on it? I hear it is a little slow to be honest. I currently own a 2003 G35 and it runs around 6 sec. 0-60 but from what I hear the 250 does like 8??? Is that true? Granted the new car doesnt have to be a rocket but it would be nice to have some pick up to it. The new g35 will be a 300 hp beast however the interior of the lexus looks to be far superior (cant really say until the new infinitis are out. Anyway what are your personal experiences with the 250's like and which would you get it you had the chance???

Between the 250 and a G35, I'd go for a G35 personally, especially if you're talking about a 2007 model. 350 is another matter however.

I would think the IS350 would be around the same price as the new G35, right? So I don't see how the IS250 and the G35 really compare . But If "I" had to choose between only those two, then I would go with the G35 because of its peformance edge over the IS250.

Well my dealer is telling me that from what he is being told that i would be able to get the new g35 fully loaded minus navi for $35,000. Im seeing that a nicely equipped 350 would be over $40,000. Or am I mistaken...Im looking for no more than $35K.

Well I am not sure what the salesman means by "loaded" on a G35, but I have seen some IS350's here on dealer lots without nav for around 36k. By time you deal and wheel I would think you could get one for less than asking price. Even without any Options the IS is very well equipped.

No, you're right. An IS350 with Nav option alone is near $40k. If you can find this setup, you can currently get the car at $40k OTD.

You get more performance with the G35. But if you want better built, comfort, and quality over performance and handling, then the IS250 will do. Which would you want?

At $35K, I'd take the new G over the 250 if performance/grunt is a big factor. If fit/finish, etc., are more important, than it would be a closer question.

Been thinking about both the IS350 and 250. But I'm not in the habit of paying more than 500 over invoice, got my 05 G35 for 500 under invoice. I thought about getting the 250 at first, but realized that the 350 is probably a better choice for me. But the demand for the IS is quite high at the moment.

So I decided to wait until november when the new G comes out. Hopefully Lexus will be more flexible with their prices by then. It will also give me a chance to drive the new G and compare it with both the IS. Another reason is if I get the IS, I want the 07. I want as few bugs as possible.

Also notice that when it comes to leasing, Lexus has high money factor. My Infinity lease has a money factor of 160, Lexus is in the neighborhood of 245. Is there any time of the year that Lexus has specials on leasing, like around december or something?

I guess I will have to test drive both cars. Navi is not a big deal to me...I can do without that if I can get a 350 with no nav for $36k that will be the ideal car. I just think the IS series in general looks so much more aggressive and sleek than the G35 but I love the power that my g35 has.

You should be able to do that as the '07's come out if your area has enough of the 350's.
