i think 35 might be ok. but many times, especially this summer, the heat is just becoming all too unbearable. many are going at the bare minimum 35's in the fronts just to keep somewhat cool. some choose 5% and then just decide to hit that auto button so that the windows rapidly go down before any cop sees the windows. this has got me thinking about tinting the windshield now. the dashboard is getting beatdown with each minute of this hot socal weather

yay. finally after owning the car so long i got tint. got 30% llumar tint all around. nothing on the front windshield. pic taken with my iphone. i'll try to take better pics later.
pic was taken around 6-7 PM. im glad i got some tint since the weather has been so hot lately.

^^ Looks good being all one level of tint darkness all around.
But that would probably get you a fix-it ticket in many parts of California, although I do see cars like that almost everyday here.

I havent had a problem with the police but i hate driving around at night all paranoid...but even if you were to get like 50% in the front at night it still looks really dark so you would still have to worry about the po po...
