I have been entering our parking garage several times in the past few weeks at the same time as a brand new BMW 760 LI (about $111,000 car), that I think is driven by an American Century portfolio manager.

This beast is a beautiful silver, but up until this week, had prominently displayed the dealership, "Baron BMW" and "760LI" on the trunk lid.

Viola! this morning at 6:36am, he pulls in ahead of me with a completely clean back end. Only the BMW black, blue & white circular seal.

Either the owner or someone he hired, debadged the back end of the flagship German luxury standard. "Ricer" too? I think not. More likely, a person of our mindset who likes the back end of his car to be as sleek and uncluttered as possible.

If anything, we do this to call less attention to the make & model, not disguise it, or try to pass off as something it's not.

Also some peole just don't like going about with brands written all over the cars they drive. I admire the clean look, but I also don't really understand why I should pay to advertise someone else's stuff. I guess it's the same reason I don't like wearing Hollister shirts with H O L L I S T E R written all over it.

yes the first thing i did was pull off those tacky badges - ive done this first thing to every car that i've owned.

That's what I said too before I got the car. NO MODIFICATION. Right now I just got HIDs, navi. screen protection, yeLLow fogs, rain gutters, etc. I still need to get my clear bra from AEROTECH soon. . . STill deciding on what wheels to get and the suspension to get. . .
