Default Just got car today . . . clear bra now? or after detail?

Just picked up my special order IS350 today in nashville. They tried getting me to get that "paint protection" but i figured that wasnt worth my time. Should I go ahead and get a clear bra now? Or should i get a good detail in before i put the bra on?

Please anyone with info respond because if im gonna go ahead and get the bra i need to call early tomorrow morning. Thanks guys!

By the way the car is BEAUTIFUL!!! So many buttons and gadgets i just want to sit out in the car and play around haha

Yeah, don't wait. I waited a week and drove the car very little in case of a chip. With a brand new car, it's tough not to drive it when you want to!

Hi there. Is the clear bra for the front bumper only? Does it come with the rear bumper?

You can get a clear bra for any part of the car. Most places have custom cut pieces (front bumper, a portion of the hood, etc) and it's what most people get. If you have a lot of money to spare you can even clear bra the whole car. If you want one for just the rear bumper they'll probably charge you by the sqr ft. of clear bra used.

it would be for the full front of the car . . . front bumper, front part of hood, side mirrors, etc.

Will a Lexus dealer do clear bra?

I'm planning to return to my dealer for the cute spoiler and tinting.

I recommend to do the clear coat and clear bra both if you have no problem with $$$.
The clear coat gives you the over all sharper blink, and the clear bra gives you max protection from rock chips while saving the bling without putting up ugly bra.

I have both and I see they have different purposes!

They can, but they'll probably charge you twice as much as bringing it to the installers yourself.

Find a reputable installer, and they'll clean your car so that you don't have to the detail. Also, some cleaners/products/chemicals may affect the adhesive of the clear bra.

Yeah most of the time they are outsourcing the job to someone else anyway, and jacking up the price. So you might as well find a local, reputable shop.

Clear bra right away. You don't have to have the front detailed. If you have time before the bra, go and wax and apply a paint 'Sealent' if you like. The paint protection from Lexus is just that, granted they get a better commercial grade sealent.

Pick mine up tomorrow and Clear Bra on Wednesday. Minimal driving of course.

Definitely get a clear bra ASAP once you get your car. I regret not getting mines done right after. I am stuck with a few rock chips now
