Default Vaistech SLI question

I installed the SLI two days ago and the installation was a piece of cake thanks to all of you that have posted pics and video files...dont think I would have even tried without all of your help. Anyways...I noticed while I was connecting the wires to the back of the nav, the lower section of the nav unit's lights(control buttons) would sporatically blink and the sound would drastically muffle. This would happen when I pushed the connections firmly to make sure it was connected properly and even at times when I just touched the vaistech's wire to move them around for the install. Again, I checked several times to make sure the connections were tight. Now I noticed that the car's clock is always exactly 2 hours behind after I turn the car off and then back on...even though I change it every time.

I haven't called vaistech yet to ask for help because I wanted to see if you guys have had this happen before and have any ideas of things I can try.

Sounds like a short somewhere, I would probably check to see if any single wires are loose. I have no problem after the installation as of yet.

Remove it and check if the issue persists. Then check the harness for any messed up pins or pulled out wires. Also, does it seem to work when you connect the ipod now?

No...I didnt do the nav hack and right now I'm really glad I didn't...I would definately be thinking I screwed something up. For the most part...the ipod seems to be working ok. Sometimes it seems like it gets caught up when I change a track. This may be the ipod's fault though...it would sometimes get the hickups even before I bought the SLI. There are so many wires back there that I'm not sure if I would see a particular loose one...but I'll take a look. Thanks for the suggestions.
