Default Issues with spoiler install

Alright everyone,

I need your help if you have installed a the OEM spoiler. I got the spoiler all set up taped down the everything. Too bad the ends popped up because teh double sided table is not strong enought to keep it down. Anyone else with this problem?

I installed mine and during fitting the ends went up but I just raised it away from Lexus logo and it was ok... I think youre pushing it down too much in the middle. I installed mine in the winter and was afraid that that sticky tape wont hold but it wasnt the case. I dont know what to tell you.

regards, Bart.

Most spoilers are taped on.

Yep, Mine also has 3bolts and double back tape all the way around.
I did have to push down the both ends to lined up with bent shape of trunk before double back tape made contacts.
So, it is pre-loading the both ends about 1/4 to 1/2 inches but seems to be holding okay.
If you drilled holes with template, you will have to push down both ends to be lined up with shape of trunk. (at least that was my case).
I was freaking out because of pre-loading condition at first, but I belive the spoilers are manufactured that way. Good luck and don't panic.

I figured I'd have Lexus put mine on since they are the experts. I guess the installer was drunk because it's off center a bit....kind of a bummer!

it is bolted on, you have to drill the trunk lid, it is not just taped on.

I actually cut the bolts off and used extra 3M tape (red) and I've had absolutely no problems what so ever....

Default Problem figured out

Ok..It appears that the holes I drilled was just a tad bit low. I pulled out the dremel and gave myself a little breathing room. Ripped off the old tap and put new tape on. Perfect now. I had to use the 3m mounting tape so I hope is sticks nice and tight.

By the way. I dropped a nut in the trunk lid frame. Any ideas how i can get it out?
