Default #%^# Passenger Side Rattle

I did a search, but after reading lots of rattle posts, found nothing to help me.

I have a very noticable rattle on the passenger side that I can't find.

I tried holding the AC vent, seat belt, pulling on the door, open and close the roof ... no luck finding it.

Anyone else have some suggestions or the same problem.

I have 3K mile and not sure if I can hold out to the 5K service. (yes i know, i can still bring it in now, but I don't want to)

thanks

There is nothing worse than a rattle in a new car... I feel for ya man.

I am sure that you will find it. Maybe if you could have a passenger sit with you it might help locate it. If you hear it,, then it is there...somewhere.

explain the rattle more. i too have a rattle coming from what seems like thte passenger AC vent. although i only notice it going ot work meaning speeds >55. and its not a constant rattle, but it comes in and out. first i thought it was when i hit a bump.

i haven't heard it lately becuase my ipod has been drowning it out. i'll see if it happens during lunch today

I had a similar thing happen on mine withing the first 1500 miles. It didn't happen all the time but it came from the middle of the dashboard. I took it back to the dealer and fortunately, they were able to get it to duplicate the sound. They said it was an insulation problem they were familiar with it happening in other cars. I left it there for a few hours, they gave me another brand new car to use for the afternoon, and when I got it back, the problem was fixed. I haven't had any problems since. Hope this helps.

Hmm, sounds like your passenger had a loose part. Or maybe your passenger was a baby?

I have a very slight rattly comming from the passenger side too. It only hapens when its going over constant rough road... so I havent bothered with it.

One other noise I noticed was the sun glass holder. I put a pair of sun glasses in there and every time I turn it made some noise and I couldnt figure it out for like days then I realized it was the sun glasses! So Now I dont use that stupid holder anymore. Did you Check your sunglass holder?

I have the same problem. I took it to the dealer and they said they couldn't duplicate it so I went with a tech and he heard it but told me they could take apart the dash and search for it but couldn't guarentee anything. They said if it gets worse to just bring it back in and have them try then....but he convininced me to not have them take my dash apart....my rattle is int he passenger side too.

Hopefully someone can locate it and I can try looking at mine too, if we all get together maybe we can find the culprit...

Default noise from the passenger side

I noticed that's a noise from the passenger side only when I am making a left turn. I think it's under the dashboard. I look in the glove compartment and took out everything inside and checked the interior air filter, there's still a noise when I make a left turn. I think there's may be something in the vent tubing. I am going to have my Lexus dealer to take a look when it's time to do 5000 miles service. They fixed the other noise from the back (end up they found a loose metal strap somewhere around the gas tank and they something to fix the noise). Hope they will find out what happen this time. I am quite disappointed about noises here and there because of this and that getting loose. I will post what my Lexus dealer's mechanic found when I have the info.

Thanks for the tips. I checked there and I took out a pack of gums and the noise is gone.
