Default Bicycle Rack

Anyone got one yet? Any models you would recommend?

I'm thinking about a trunk rack because I shudder at the idea of accidentally dropping my bike on my 250 AWD..

However, I don't want a rack to mess up the trunk or back bumper.

Thanks in advance!

Not going to be much help but
IMO get quick disconnects on your bike wheels and put it in the trunk

or a truck

I have a Thule roof rack with the Sidearm bicycle carrier on my 3GS and I love it. It's extremely secure and takes less than 10 seconds to load a bike. I highly recommend Thule.

Hey, do you have pictures of your set up? I'd like to put a bike mount and a snow board mount on there later in the year. But I am fairly new to how this really works?

It looks like you need the rails and the bike and snow board attachments correct? Did you need to drill any holes on your roof?

Thanks
-Mike

To put on any attachments, such as bike or snowboard carriers, you'll need to have the load bars mounted to the roof first. The roof rack is secured to the car via clips, which can tighten or loosen just by turning some screws; no drilling necessary. Here are some pics of the roof rack mounted on my car, minus the bike carriers, which I put on after I took these pics:

I checked on Thule's website and they have a fit kit for the 2IS, so all you need to do is purchase the roof rack and any other accessories you want and you'll be good to go.

Thanks SGT~!

How much you think I would be spending on this? The bars itself are like $300 and accessories are like $150.

Expensive!!

Believe me, it's well worth the money. I actually got my roof rack for free and the accessories at wholesale since my car was used for test fitting. If you want something a little cheaper, but just as good, check out Yakima.

Thule is the way to go. Here is a link to the Jelly Belly Pro Team. They use an IS350 as their team car. http://www.jellybellycycling.com/ima...LexusScott.htm
