Default August 2006 Car and Driver IS350 #'s

Seems like Car and Driver is pretty close to reality in their test numbers. The lastest test numbers for the IS350 are:

5.1 (0-60)
13.7 (1/4 mile)

You sure those are August 2006 numbers? Those are the same numbers obtained when the car was tested for the $35k sport sedan comparison published in October 2005.

You are right. I didn't see the test date. It is the numbers from 10/05. I just assumed the numbers were more recent since it's almost a year later.

No, back then the magazines didn't know how to disable it. C&D does brake-torque launches, and applies a correction factor to normalize for temperature, so their test results are usually the quickest of the mainstream mags.
