Default New '07 Infiniti stock rims very similar to stock IS!

I stumble upon the new '07 Infiniti G35 sedan spy pictures. (Ok I was actually looking for specific information about the new VQ engine.) From this photos the car looks finished and ready for the dealers. Unfortunately the rims look very similar to the stock 18" from our IS no?

In case your interested to see more pics here is the link.

The new G rims are similar in that they're split spoked but they're actually much nicer than the IS's stockers at least to me. The car however for some reason looks like an old taurus or neon from that angle.

A lot of car companies are making split-spoke wheels. Check out Jag's XK: they look exactly like the IS wheels...

As for the G35, it is very distinguishable as their wheels are 7 split-spokes, not 5.

Cool

Ours looks more understated and refined. The Infiniti's looks too "Bling" IMHO.

I think the IS 350 is still a better package than the G. It looks nicer and the interior puts the G to shame.

the only way they resemble the 2IS wheels is in that they are split spokes...aside from that i think that they are actually quite ugly and prefer the IS wheels much more IMO.

Didn't Lexus actually somewhat "copy" the split spoke design from AMG? Such as this '04 E55...

And I'm sure others did it before them too...

Check this out guy, I found this web while searching for rims. I found one rim that looks exactly like the stock 2is, except that they also have 19".

Jeeezz! Talk about riding off the competition...

I'm not an Infiniti-hater or anything, but look at the tail-lights bulging like the IS. Also, notice the shiny metal frame around the windows...that is an IS signature!

And yes, those paddle shifters...weak. I just wish car manufacturers could be more creative and unique in their styling. I mean, I know the 2IS borrows styling cues from Merc and Bimmer (who doesn't?), but it was the unique exterior styling of the 2IS that really turned me on to this car...it looked like no other!

I mean, I've always liked/respected the G coupe/sedan, but they've changed it so much in direct comparison with the 2IS, IMO. Yes, this is my Lexus pride coming out!

The shiny metal frame around the windows have been on cars since like bloody forever.

Anyway, how LARGE does this car look compared to the IS?

I like the G's wheels much better than the IS stock 18"s. They havemore of an aftermarket look to them....
