When making a phonecall from the phone book the display on the nav shows the name of the person I am trying to call. However, when someone calls me the name doesn't appear on the screen and it just says "incoming call". Is that normal? I shouldn't have to look at the caller ID on my phone to find out who is calling, right?

It's weird. Sometimes it does. Sometimes it doesn't. The phone number should come up if it is from a number that isn't in my phone book OR the name should come up if it is.

...because that incoming caller's number wasn't stored in your phone book. It will only display the name if the incoming call number matches a number in your phone book.
Calls from offices won't always match up because they are usually routed through a main line rather than the actual extension, which you might have stored (xxx-xxx-8000 instead of xxx-xxx-8123 or xxx-xxx-8000 ext. 123 for example).

I have the Motorola Slvr. If the Slvr isn't listed on that list it isn't compatible? The Alsvr is basically the same phone as the Razor. Why would one be compatible and one not? How does the phone list get updated?

I've been checking out that website for a couple of months now. They haven't updated it in quite a while.
I was looking at a Samsung A930, which I thought was a decent phone, but I don't see it listed there either.

I was able to pair up my treo 650 when I got home. The dealer wasn't able to do it. However, I cannot transfer my phone book. I have to enter the numbers manually.
Does anyone have this phone and was successful at transfering the phone book? If so, how did you do it?
Thanks.

I got the samsung A900 from sprint and it doesn't show caller id when I'm at stop or moving. It does however show caller id when it's a text message. weird, I guess it's phone related cuz I can't even see my battery or signal strength either.

It is just sometime the caller ID doesn't show up on the screen for people that are in my phonebook. Havn't noticed if this happens when moving or at a stop though. If that was the case where it doesn't show the caller ID when you are moving then what the hell is the point? You're in a car. Sometimes too much hand holding is a bad thing.
