07 IS 250 Options?
Hi all, I am new here but have been lurking for awhile while researching this car. I almost made a deal today on a SGM 250 but my Touareg lease which isn't up yet and the offer from the dealer has caused me to wait and think about it some more. I still have another year on the "T" so I am not in a big hurry although gas prices are a major motivating factor.
I really want the ML but here in So Cal it looks like it's impossible to get on a 250. Can you get it elswhere in the U.S. on a 250 w/Nav, Premium, 18's?
I was also looking at KBB.com this evening and when building a 250 it says the ML is standard with Nav package and the info was updated from the manufacturer on 6-1-06. Does anyone know if this is a precurser to the '07 options? Doesn't it make sense that w/o nav you would get the standard system but with nav you would get the ML? It does to me since you are spending thousands more for the nav.
It's kind of odd to me that in order to get this car with ML you have to spend an extra $7,000 for a 350 with lux or sport.
Thanks for all the great info here too!

From a Touareg to an IS...Same move I am in the process of making and CAN'T wait. My touaeg was a POS. As for the answers to your questions...Not real sure about the options...I would aso like ML with no nav...

My Touareg is a POS too. Actually, I want the Nav and ML on a 250, I just don't want to have to spend an extra 7k to get it by going to a 350 with sport or lux package. At least that's how they are equipped here in Cali.
All Nav's should have the ML since it's a big dollar A/V option package and it should be an option even without nav but I know plenty of people are pissed about that one.
Hopefully the revised option list on KBB.com is correct and ML will become standard with Nav. Has anyone ordered an 07 250 yet to confirm? I may wait if that's the case.

For the 06s to get the Mark Levinson system you had to have the nav but after a lot of people complained that they shouldn't have to pay the extra $2000-$3000 if they want only the ML and not nav. So for 07s the Mark Levinson can be ordered as a seperate option.

Not true, look at 4tehnguyen's sig, he has a '06 IS350 w/ML (no Nav) that he bought off the lot in Texas. They're out there, altho I agree that it's more common bundled with Nav & the Sport or Luxury pkgs . . .
