Hello all, I've been lurking for a little while now, but I (well my wife and I) recently picked up a Crystal White IS350 with the luxury package and navigation so I thought I'd say hi. We turned in my wife's 2003 IS300 Sport Design that was coming to the end of its lease (see the crappy image below). I feel like I've been sans car for the past year though, since I sold my Audi S4 a year ago and the IS300 was really "her" car. It should be interesting to see if I can negotiate some mods like coilovers for "our" car. If the married veterans out there have any advice, please feel free to share!

In any case, looking forward to learning and hopefully contributing a bit to the group. I already tried out both the VDIM defeat and the nav destination override codes. I felt like I was entering a Nintendo cheat code ... Up Up Down Down Left Right Left Right B A B A Select Start!

Welcome and congratulations.

Your car is just like my crystal white/ sterling lux nav car.

You had an 00 S2000 like I did as well (though mine was white).

I have a few two wheel rides but I have to pedal them.

Grats on the new ride! I am sure if you make a few "mall trips" and "movie nights" you could prolly talk her into a few mods...

No, it's just a practice run on the way to the arcade to show off your Dance Dance Revolution skills. If you press the right combination of buttons, the music will start and your nav will display this screen:

You will love the car. The crystal white/sterling is a great combo. Just like mine. AND S2000toIS350! Don't we all have good taste?

Thanks for the welcome guys. It's good to see a few people from NJ on the board. I know with my S4, I'd occasionally run into other "Audiworld-ers", so hopefully I'll catch a couple of you around at some point.

S2000toIS350, it's been a few years since I had my S2000, but man I miss that car (except for the leaking roof and the constantly cloudy rear "window"). It cornered like it was on rails and had the slickest manual tranny I've ever used.

Aclarke, hopefully your experience with Prestige has been good. I was pretty happy with their sales department, which is a good start.

Bichon, I'll see if my DDR score shows any improvements after a week of driving this car.

t.
Welcome! I came from a B5 S4 too (mine was a 2000 with a GIAC chip), and have been on AudiWorld since the early days when it was JET's A4.ORG (I'm user ID 98 on Audiworld). Some days I really miss the turbo rush of the S4, but I don't miss the big repair bills or obsessing over whether this noise or that was normal - or a signal that my turbos were about to grenade.

User ID 98?! I was 30,000 something LOL! You're old school man!

I miss the rush of twin turbos and the AWD traction of the S4, but you're definitely right about not missing the associated stress with maintaining that car. ("Does that sound like a dentist drill?") I sold the car a month before the warranty expired, because I had absolutely no intention of footing the repair bills for my monthly visit to the dealership service center.

I guess we'll see if I miss the S4 a bit more this winter. I went through last winter with my wife's IS300 and all-season Pilot Sports, and it wasn't fun. I'm trying to figure out what snow shoes to get for the IS350 (just tires, tires and wheels, 17" or 18").

Nice ride. A buddy of mine in North Jersey has an IS350 in CW as well and it looks so good.
