Default Got some misc parts painted the past weekend.

Got some things painted, figured I share with ya guys.

Painted my grill, engine cover and Joe Z Intake. Gotta love driving around for a couple of days without a grill. The Joe Z intake was kinda a spur of the moment thing, I was just staring at it, and decided to pop it off. On a side note, I did feel a decrease of "accleration power" with the stock tube on. So, I think the Joe Z Intake is a great upgrade. Okay, enough...Here are the pictures!

Comments?! Good? Bad, ugly?

the painted grille doesnt seem as striking as it did on that one persons black IS, guess if the chrome contrasts enough it looks better when you paint it

good job overall

IMO I think that the painted grill looks better on a darker colored IS...like black or SGM...

Yeah, I kinda agree. I wasn't really really happy with the grill when I installed it. But it's too late, I could live with it. Might look better when I eventually get a front lip. Thanks

It cost $150 to paint the engine cover alone. But the work is amazing. Didn't need to supply the paint.

Cool

Hi Ray,

The first picture of the hood of the car looks like it has a rainbow on it. LUV that GFM!! and the engine cover and intake! They should paint all the engine covers to match the outside color of the car.

The grille isn't as dramatic as say with the Matador Red.

P.S. Glad you liked the pocky.

Can't say i'm crazy about the grille, but everything else looks good. Wonder how the paint on the Joe-Z will hold up with the underhood temps beating away at it.

Yes yes..the holes. I hate the holes alot. It bothers me every single day I see it. I'm still happy I got the car. Personally, I would still like to pick a bone with the Manager and/or owner of Lexus of Glendale regarding this issue. It's something that should not be mandated, even though it's a law to have two license plates mounted on the car. Heck, I even signed a form that I acknowledged that the front bumper is drilled and it's pre-checked using the printer. I wish I never signed it. But I couldn't be happier with the car purchase with Peter Kong, I let it go.

I have plans for the bumper anyway *cough lip kit molded COUGH*

T-Rex06, Wednesday? OTAY. Time to 'round up the gang again.

is4me2, pocky is teh delicious.

Ramon, I can picture my paint melting off and making a mess all over my engine.....ok.....maybe not. or rather i hope not. heh

Yeah, because you used MY painter!!! No, seriously - I'm glad he did as good a job for you he did for me. Looks great, my Glacier Frost Mica twin... Now we're REALLY gonna have to park next to each other at the meet Sunday! Oh, and congrats on crossing 1,000 posts - if it wasn't for that trip to Anaheim you'd have more posts than miles on your car...

Javier
