Lease Deal Too Good To Be True?
Before I start, please keep in mind that the figures are in Canadian dollars:
In april, i leased an IS250 AWD for 48 months at $625 tax in (we have 15% sales tax) with 6500 total due at signing (freight, delivery, and down payment) and 4500 security deposit. with my calculations, after 4 years, i will have paid $36500 for the car. My residual is only 20k meaning if i buy it out, i will have paid a total of $56000 for the car. Now, i was on lexus' website and i tried doing a 4 year finance with the same amount down, as well as a 7 year finance and both ways, i am still paying about 7-10k less with my lease and buy-out. Am i the only one that thinks this does not make any sense? Shold I just buy it out at the end? and keep it for an extra year or two until the next generation of lexus' come out?
