i was driving to the gym yesterday and it was about 90 degrees out, I had my climate control set to 70 degrees and the air that was coming out was ice cold, I mean it was "too cold", I had to set it to 74 degrees..

Use your A/C why would you not turn on A/C specially when its hot.
You Create more Drag on your car when the window is down so its a heavier load.
watse more gas.

I run with A/C all the time and the gas comsumption is the same without the AC sometimes even better.

Turn on your AC buddy

I saw an episode of mythbusters showing that rolling down your windows gets you better gas mileage than turning on the AC. They got a bunch of emails asking them to re-test that myth at a higher speed. The original test was at about 40-45mph if I recall. Sure enough, when they revisited that myth, they found at speeds above 50mph or so, you're better off with your AC on.

Highest I've seen yet:

Today after work, but the interior was comfortable within a few minutes, no complaints!
