I want to try to do the side mirror's mod... Aren't the stock lens clear enough? How come some of you guys are ordering the ones from ES350? Also, anyone has the 194 vleds SMT 5 blue ones installed? Would like to see how that'll come out.

the part they are ordering is for the door courtesy light (that red light on the door) and since the housing is red itself...people who want to change the colour will need to order the clear lens...

as for the side mirrors...ya they are good enough...just make sure u get a high power LED that fits

Okay, is someone nice enough to make a complete list of recommended LED's for our cars, getting blinded by how much pages i had to read... I need bulbs for my lighting upgrade for my car... would want to go a super white or blue theme with the car since I own a GFM... Plus a link to where I can get them...

The list:

Sun Visors
Outside mirrors
Front Dome
Rear Dome
Driver/Passenger Door puddle lights
Reverse lights
Day running lights

I thought I would update this thread as I finally got around to putting in the LEDs for the puddle lamps.

the easiest way to replace these IMO is to just tilt the mirror up and down to get access to the two outer screws and unscrew those two.

then pop the cover slightly loose at the outer edge w/ a trim pry tool or credit card or what not.

this will give you enough space to manuever the lamp assembly out and then unscrew the socket and replace the bulb.

takes litterally 5mins per side and you DONT have to worry about prying off the mirror and putting it back on.

Hopefully this helps someone in the same boat as me who is too damn chicken to pop off the mirror. Good luck!
