Looking to upgrade the front exterior lighting on my '06 IS350 with OEM hids. What do I need to order to switch the hid bulbs, drl lights, and fog lights to 6000k, without having to install any extra wiring or modifications, needs to be plug and play. Best match and brightest. Thanks guys..

^^^ well if you have stock HID's then all you need is the bulbs... I like my GARAX HID bulbs... 194

If you don't want to do any extra wiring (even though it's easy to switch) then you are going to need Halogen fogs... 9006

DRLs are a simple bulb switch

IS35O,

As per your questions:

1) Your HID low beam bulbs use D4S bulbs meaning that if you wanted to change the color you would need to get new D4S bulbs. We sell D4S HID bulbs in 5000k, 6000k, and 8000k.

2) Fog Lights: Your vehicle uses a 9006 bulb for the fog lights meaning that you would need to get a 9006 HID conversion kit to upgrade the fogs to HID. I would suggest getting the same color temperature HID kit as your D4S bulbs to get the best match.

Both these upgrades will be plug+play and will not require you to modify your vehicle in any way.

Ok I've got some Garax 6k D4S bulbs on the way.
Any recommendations for 6k LEDs for the fogs, puddle lights, and DRLs, that are actually in stock?

I would not suggest installing LED bulbs in your fog lights as they are not designed for LED. Installing LED bulbs will provide you with little or no useable light output.

XenonDepot ...

I'm planning on getting a new 2011 IS 250 but without the LEDs / HID option thus i want to simply switch out the low beam and DRL bulbs to make them look as bright or HID " like " as possible. I thought about getting a HID kit but i think switching out the bulbs would suffice for me. Can you suggest which ones from your site i can look into purchasing ? TIA

^ Not to mention those LED headlights are $$$ so if you can get them already on the car, sell em here if you don't want them and buy non-HID ones! lol

Here in the NJ area there is a limited selection of RWD IS 250s and even less with this option i really don't mind since i actually dont like the LEDs which i believe i am in the minority here.

Getting a HID kit is a good alternative and the replacement bulbs are even a more inexpensive alternative IMHO

In your opinion, how do these parking led bulbs match the oem 4300k hids? Do these better match your 5k or 6k bulbs?

omgitsjoe,

1) I would suggest going with a 4300k HID kit for the brightest and whitest possible output. This will also get you the most OEM look/feel.

2) Our HID kits will have grommets to reseal the dust cover on the back of the headlamp to prevent any moisture issues.

3) Parking Lights: I would suggest looking at the high power 194 LED bulbs for the brightest and whitest output. These bulbs utilize high quality Nichia LED diodes.

on the front dome light is it possible to change the two individual lights that are activated by pressing the button on either driver or passenger side? I'm not talking about the big one, i've already changed that out, but the two that are arranged in a 4-light cluster on both driver and passenger side
