Default Brand New Car Paint Issues

Hi,

I just purchased a brand new black Lexus IS250. I've had the car for 2 weeks and I noticed swirl marks on the paint. In addition, there appears to be a few spots on the hood that look like the paint is a little faded. Is this normal and should I be concerned since I just purchased the car brand new? I am kind if concerned since this is my first new car purchase.

Thanks & Kind Regards - Maddox

Congrats on the new car and Welcome to the Club!

Swirls are normal, and black paint is the worst offender. You'll love the look of the car but will hate it's maintenance.

Check out our Automotive Care and Detailing. I hope this helps!

Hi Jewel,

No, I haven’t washed the car yet. It has about 280 miles and I park it in a covered parking garage.

Kind Regards - Maddox

they should have detailed the car when you picked it up which would hopefully reduce the swirls and such. If the car isnt to your standards, there's no harm in talking to the dealer and having them look at it.

Every car has swirl marks. No biggie. Just give it a coat of wax, and you'll be good.

Swirls ok, but appearance of faded paint, I agree with Jewel, doesn't hurt to have your sales rep look it over. Its a Lexus and they have high quality standards.
