IS350 Owners..Do you feel cheated with the stock rims?
For all the IS350 owners, do you feel you should have gotten different and better rims than the IS250? They should of given the 250 17s..and put the 18s on the 350 only...For the extra bucks we put out sure we got 100+ hp, but our cars look exactly like the IS250..there is no way you can tell the difference between the two besides the little "3"...the gs430 has different rims than the gs300..the bmw 330ci has different rims than the 325ci.

But really maybe they should have had different wheel styles but I don't think they shouldn't let us 250 owners have 18 inch wheels. That would cause them to lose money if they didn't have that as an option. If they did decide to do 17s on a 250 and 18s only on a 350 the price difference would just be farther apart and you would end up paying for the extra 100hp plus the larger rims.

What does it matter if wheels are exclusive to the 350 or 250? You can always buy aftermarket rims to make your car look unique anyways. Also, what does it matter that the 250 and 350 look alike? You do know that they are technically the SAME car, just with a different engine, so they are supposed to look alike. All that should matter is that YOU know what you are driving, who cares what other people think. To the untrained eye, a 325i and a //M3 look the same, but I bet //M3 owners could care less.

If what you're concerned about is that other people on the street know you paid more for your car than 250 owners, why not put flashing arrows on the trunklid that point to the IS350 emblem?

i dont see any problem with having the same rims for 250s and 350s. the stock rims are still pretty good quality rims and anyone that isn't happy with them will change them anyway.
yeah, i'd like to see some kind of difference between the 250 and 350 just for quick distinction when i'm driving, but its not that big of a deal. i'm happy for the 250 owners, they should get as much as they can considering that we 350 owners have the extra horses, which should be enough to make us happy that we were able to get the 350.

This is a somewhat subjective question. Since I have the Sports pkg, I don't have the stock 17" rims. But in SoCal, just about every IS is shipped with the optional 18" rims. Do I care if 250s or Non-Sport ISs have the same 18" rims - not really. As already posted, those who really care can drop $2k+ on aftermarket rims to dress up their ride. This is my daily driver so I'm more concerned about avoiding potholes and curb rashes . . .
